Could we have the ability to add traits to someone in cataclysm_spawning? Currently using a SA to give them trait on their first turn which should work fine, but it would be easier to just give them it. I guess I could have used a special ability that does nothing but I'm more comfortable working with traits for this.

If it gets to much work you could duplicate the entry in entities.xt, using different tags with the same name giving one of them the trait.
Not as easy as spawning them with it, but perhaps more comfortable than fiddling with SAs.
PS: Being 2 different entities with the same name, you even might not need the trait then.

That's probably the best current solution, but I've already done the SA and it wasn't too hard. Only downside is the not activating until first AI turn but in this case it isn't relevant so no point changing it.

I could add this fairly easily with a [TRAIT] command, sure.

Sure, that's pretty easy. Know that for now you can already see exact light values by type under the mouse cursor when hovering over the map in debug mode.
It's some of those numbers that appear across the bottom of the map--admittedly they're not in a very pretty format since I was using it to get exact values a *long* time ago (first weeks of dev) and haven't touched/used them since.
The "SL" column is total static light (immobile light sources like sunlight, props), and the "DL" column is total dynamic light (mobile light sources like entities, items). If there is *any* light in a particular cell (1+), entities will be visible there to races that need light to see. I've considered adding relative stealth by requiring a higher minimum for some entities, but that could get complicated for the user so I didn't do it yet. Maybe it will come with the new interface.
